Dhrti Dasi & Ram Das

Dhrti Dasi and Ram Das are married artists who create many of their paintings cooperatively. Dhrti draws the figures, while Ram focuses on the landscape.

The couple combines the western approach of realism, perspective, atmosphere, and apply it to vedic literature.

They are trying to depict a divine realm that is beyond the mundane. A painting to uplift the viewer, therefore transcendent.

Both artists have been teaching transcendental art workshops in India and Europe as well as illustrating such Vedic classics as the Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam since 1975.

Ram Das is a fine art graduate of California State University of Fullerton, and Dhrti Dasi graduated from the School of Art and Design in New York. Both studied at the Academy of Art in Sienna, Italy.
